I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Sue Ann Jaffarian wrote another short story in the Ghost of Granny Apples series called The Silent Ghost: it was excellent; a fully contained, interesting mystery in a short story form.
This one, not so much. It was ok, but the mystery was weak and the level of writing was not at Ms. Jaffarian's best, in my opinion. Some rather large editing errors too, for such a short story. I rather got the impression that this story was banged out in a hurry, or phoned in. Still, it's a short story within a very solid series, so if you're interested in the series, don't let this short dissuade you from trying the full length books.
