I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.

So I get to my mom's house yesterday and one of the first things she says to me is "I read that book you recommended and I didn't like it all!" Which leaves me scrambling, wracking my brain to figure out what book I've recently recommended to my mom?!?!
Then I see Sixth Grave on the Edge in her donation pile. I NEVER would have recommended Charlie Davidson to my 90 year old ultra-religious mom. When I asked her what in the world ever possessed her to buy and read that book, her response? "Because I saw your review of it on GoodReads."
I have no one to blame but myself; I introduced her to GoodReads. But I did cringe when I realized she now knows how much I love a series about the Grim Reaper in love with the Son of Satan. Moms are moms no matter how old you get. :)
