I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I don't read when I'm at the beach. While I'm notorious for reading in the near-dark, the bright sun of a Florida beach (my home state) is too bright. Plus breeze, sand, sunscreen - none of it equals my ideal reading conditions. I'd rather be in the water or scanning the sand for interesting treasures.
*But* I will be flying home at the end of the month and I'll be making a direct beeline for the beach and if I did plan to bring a book, this is the one I'd bring. It's a mystery that takes place on Siesta Key Beach - I spent my adolescence on that beach and on that key so it just seems fitting.
