I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.

I'm choosing The Beekeeper's Apprentice for two reasons - well, three reasons including the fact that it's an excellent read.
First of all, while the book doesn't centre on the Great War, it does take place during the last days, and I thought when Mary Russell did speak of it, she did an excellent job of communicating the despair, the national fatigue, and the shell-shocked atmosphere of those final days.
Secondly, this is the only book I've read that takes place during WWI. :)
