I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Shoe Done It (An Accessories Mystery #1)
Meh. Good characters, although the detective character seemed all over the place.
Weak plot - the impetus for the murder seemed awfully weak to me. Too many instances where I felt the author was trying to sell me clothing, although I don't mind a bit of fashion speak (the Crimes of Fashion series being one of my favourites).
Still there were enough likeable things about this book that I'll read the second one and decide from there whether to continue with the series or not. ETA: Actually on further reflection, this first just didn't hold enough promise for me to read the second. I might change my mind in the future, but probably not.
