I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
This was a solid, well written book with a pretty good plot - I guessed the bad guy about half-way through. I think when I started reading this book I wasn't in the mood for it, so it felt as though it dragged a bit.
I usually avoid the undercover-in-disguise sort of mystery, but this one was done well enough that I didn't mind it, and it was a plausible way for our amateur detective to detect. I'll probably read the next one, but won't rush out to buy it.
