Excellent story!
Lousy editing! Among many errors and inconsistencies: referring to the same car as a Mercedes and then as a BMW multiple times within a few paragraphs. Calling someone "my friend" and then "my cousin" several times. The editor should have been fired.
Beyond the editing, the story itself was great - really interesting with very likeable characters. I guessed the bad guy early, but not the motivation behind it. And I really liked the puzzle aspects of the mystery itself. In spite of all the glaring, obvious errors, this was a really fun, fast, holiday read that I'll probably pull out next year before Christmas to re-read.
