I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
As a long time reader of this series, Death Comes Silently was like a visit with old friends. Carolyn Hart has managed to write another strong book in a rather long series - not something a lot of authors can do without the books starting to feel stale and repetitious.
I thought the plot was fresh and the red herrings excellent. Each of the main characters were true to their histories and as likeable as they've ever been (or not, as the case may be). I do find a couple of recurring characters just too stupid and overblown to be even remotely believable, but these characters don't get much page time, thank goodness.
An excellent read for those that like their cozies with a bit more depth and maturity.
