I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
I love this series - it started off with an excellent first book and has just improved from there. Book, Line and Sinker has great characters that I could picture being friends with, a main love interest that one *wishes* existed in real life, and a town I'd love to call home.
The mystery in this book is excellent, with many twists and a bit of a shocker at the end. Ms. McKinlay had me along for the ride from the beginning and in fact, I didn't put the book down until I was finished.
My only complaint was the end in terms of relationships, I felt it was weak, unnecessary, and unrealistic based on previous behaviour. It left me annoyed with a book that I had enjoyed 98% of unconditionally. Still - can't wait for the next one.
