I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
I'm really enjoying this series and this book is a fast-paced read that held my attention strongly enough for me to read it in one sitting. Ms. Bennett does a terrific job bringing the characters to life, and it was nice to see that Rafe becomes a bit more dimensional in this book; more complicated and more sympathetic. I totally pegged the murderer, but it was still a strong plot and I liked the ending quite a bit. A bit of a cliff-hanger at the end, although it's one that's possibility was introduced in the previous book.
Overall, I enjoyed this book quite a bit.
