I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
The date-line screwed me. Moonlight Reader's Memorial Day announcement hit my feed on Saturday, when it was Friday everywhere else, which means it hit me between my roll days. No matter though; I rolled my two enhancement rolls today, and I'll roll my regularly schedule roll tomorrow.
My 1st Bonus roll was a 6:
This put me on Space #35: Read a book set in Europe, or that was written by an author who was born in a Europe, or that involves travel by boat or that has a picture of a ship on the cover.
I'm going with A Lighthearted Quest by Ann Bridge for this space; it was an impulse by during the last big sale Bloomsbury had. While the mystery takes place in Morocco, and I'm probably going to regret using this when I land on the Africa space, it does have a boat on the cover, and I've been itching to read it.
My 2nd Bonus roll was a 5:
This got me past GO! (+$5.00), and on space #3:Read a book set in a school or college, or that is considered a "classic," (using any criteria that you want) or that is frequently banned.
Since this square mentions "classic," (using any criteria that you want), I'm choosing The Mystery of Cloomber by Arthur Conan Doyle on the argument that anything by Conan Doyle is a classic.
This was another impulse buy based purely on it being by Conan Doyle and not being science fiction.
