I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Just heard this morning that it appears by some miracle, that my mom's house (and my sister's which was never at as much risk) have escaped almost entirely unscathed.
I'm not sure how this happened as the category 3 eye-wall went directly over them at one point and my mother's house is both old and partially frame-constructed, but I'm taking it and I'm deliriously thankful for it. My town also seems to have dodged the storm surge bullet too, so any flooding she'll have will be minor. But preliminary reconnaissance shows nothing but a bent screen door.
I hope everyone else was as fortunate - and I truly pray Jose goes back from whence he came so nobody else has to go through this again any time soon.
And now back to my regularly scheduled book life. ;-)
