I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.

Definitely not the book I was expecting, but I'm enjoying it anyway. This is not a scientific exploration/explanation of the human digestive system from woe to go, but more or a conversation about the anthropological perceptions of eating and digestion and how it's shaped us, with a little bit of science thrown in.
It's fun so far, and it's accessible; non-science lovers will enjoy it, I think, as long as you have a high tolerance for ick.
I am probably going to skip chapter 8 though, as I've been warned it's not for animal lovers. (Thank you Elentarri!!)
