I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Via Booklikes and Spooky's House Of Books - thanks for this; we haven't had a questionnaire in awhile!
Do you have a certain place in your home for reading?
No, but I usually read on the couch, in bed, or in my garden (MT bought me the best garden chair ever - it's a recliner!)
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
Bookmark; I order most my books online and everyone always puts bookmarks in with the books. I have hundreds of them at this point. On the rare occasions when I don't have one within reach I've been known to use anything, including socks.
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop read after a chapter / certain number of pages?
Chapter end, always. Unless I fall asleep first.
Do you eat or drink while read?
I always have iced tea by my side. Sometimes hot chocolate. Only finger food if I'm eating.
Multitasking: music or TV while reading?
I can't multitask, so no.
One book at a time or several at once?
I keep trying several at once but it never works. The most I can do is one fiction and one non-fiction; trying more than that means I'm not going to finish any of them. (The exception to this is I usually have an audiobook I listen to while driving)
Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
If I'm not sure I'll like the book, I'll totally read the end first. I'll also skim pages or skip pages of useless internal dialogue if the book isn't holding my interest.
Barking the spine or keeping it like new?
Like new.
Do you write in your books?
Never. I think everyone should treat their books the way they want, but I myself am a books-are-sacred kind a gal. ;-)
I'm looking forward to reading everyone's responses! Hope you'll join in, if you haven't already. :)
