I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
I needed this today - I needed to laugh, and between this small gem and watching Easter-cat trying to creatively bath herself while wedged at an odd angle between pillows on the bed (SO wish I had my camera), I felt lighter this afternoon than I did this morning. (The Cubs winning the world series didn't hurt either.)
Having read them all, my favourite is unequivocally The End of the Raven by Poe's cat. A close second is Hamlet's Cat's Soliloquy by Shakespeare's Cat. Is it wrong that I now have a better understanding of Hamlet's soliloquy after reading his cat's? Don't answer that. But I can see educational value in using poems like these to hook young adults who need to read the originals in high school.
If you're a cat lover, this one is fun and well-written. A definite winner I'd have never found if not for my BookLikes friends.
