I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
A re-read (re-listen) for me in honour of the upcoming holiday and Halloween Book Bingo.
I still think the writing is set at maximum verbosity, but since I was expecting it this time, I was able to enjoy the story a bit more and pick up on more of the wry humour.
The narrator is excellent.
This read could qualify for the New England book square, but I'm going to hold it in reserve, since it's both a re-read and a short story. I have a new-to-me full length read set in New England that I'll try to read for bingo instead.
