I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Thank you to Book Cupidity for creating this and getting us all going! The criteria are below as written by Book Cupidity. I'm not a huge movie watcher, but below are a few of my favourites from pre-1980's.
Let's list favorite old (or older) movies. the list can be long or short, with a narrative or no, anything goes. The parameters is that it has to have been made prior to 1980...
So, tell me some of your favorites! Maybe we will discover new great flicks and new friends. Let's tag the post so that we can search it over the weekend - "Fav old movies'. I will also use the tag 'BL Round Robin"

In no particular order, beyond when they popped into my head:
Blazing Saddles (1974)
My dad loved this movie, I think it might have been his favorite and when I was older and watched it myself, I laughed myself stupid. It's a classic.
Murder by Death (1976) - This one doesn't surprise anyone does it? A satire about murder mystery authors and just in case you didn't think that was enough, the cast includes: Maggie Smith, David Niven, Peter Sellers, Truman Capote and Peter Falk.
I LOVE this movie in all it's silly, slapstick glory. LOVE IT!!
Charade (1963) - I first discovered this movie because it came on the flip side of The Truth About Charlie DVD as a bonus. Such a fun movie and my first movie with Carey Grant.
Mary Poppins (1964) -
No explanation necessary?
Oh God! (1977) - As a kid, I loved George Burns like he was my own granddad and really, if God had to choose anyone to embody him, I'm vote for George Burns any day (and twice on Sundays!).
Happy weekend everyone!
