I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
The last novella in the Lady Julia Grey series, sadly. This one had the disadvantage of only including Portia and Plum, Lady Julia's sister and brother, respectively, rather than the whole crazy clan, but it had the advantage of being a really fun mystery. Julia, Brisbane, et. al are all in the country at a supposedly haunted house Brisbane has inherited (or has he?) in a supposedly haunted village.
This short could almost qualify as a romp, it was just pure pleasure to read. The ending is suitably dramatic for these two and ends the series on a acceptably sappy note. I'm sad to see the series end, but happy with the ending it has.
