I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
The Mysterious Bookshop has a series of short stories they commission from known authors and make available not only as e-books, but as printed book(let)s and limited editions. This is my first taste of these mini "Bibliomyisteries"; I'm a huge fan of the Death on Demand series, so it seemed like a no-brainer.
Annie Darling's friend Ellen has just found a first edition Poirot, signed by Agatha Christie to the Queen of England. The next day, the book is stolen and Annie tracks down the thief.
It's charming, it's short and the plot is straight-forward. This isn't the story that's going to get Ms. Hart new readers, certainly, but it's a sweet treat for loyal fans.
