I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Short story about Ethan's and Merit's attempt to have a vacation in Colorado. Attempt being of course, the key word. Instead they walk into a murder mystery tied to a centuries long blood feud between a family of shifters and an un-registered clan of vampires.
Gabriel is the only other recurring character to make an appearance in this short story, which means a lot of the snark I love so, so very much is missing - although there's at least one great word play between Gabriel, Merit and Ethan, so it's not a total loss.
Overall, a very well-written, fun, self-contained story whetting my appetite for the next book, out in March.
