Murder by Death

The book and the series that started it all for me - once I read this I was forever in the cozy camp.  If I could pick my neighbors, and someone forced me to live in the 'burbs,  I would totally choose Jane and Shelly.  Not only are they likeable, but also, a constant source of entertainment.

This, the first in the series, is excellent - the plot is very well drawn out, with great clues, lots of suspects and many red herrings.  The ending is madcap and *totally* unbelievable, but it was so much fun, I didn't care!
