I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
I didn't like this one as much as I liked the first one. The mystery was a bit soft, and while there were a lot of viable suspects, the end didn't really come as any surprise. I was more that a little put off by the hostility shown by quite a few of the secondary characters towards the protagonist, Rita. These are people who are supposed to be friends, co-workers and family members - none of whom should be rude or hostile, imo.
I'll read the next one, but I'm really going to be looking for improvement in the characters and their interactions as well as a stronger, more interesting plot.
