I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
Our neightbor's (they with the loud, ill-behaved children and hideous taste in music) house went up for auction this morning. 9 out of 10 houses are sold in Melbourne at auction, and it's quite the event if you ask anyone except me; I find the entire process boring and bent. But the upside is you get to see immediately who bought the house and who your new neighbours are going to be.
The end result was a selling price that made our neighbours very happy, sold to a lovely older couple whose children are all grown and were looking to downsize, which made MT and I so fabulously happy we've been dancing little jigs all day long. We've already met our soon-to-be new neighbours and they are delightful, soft-spoken people who like to cook and garden. We could not be happier.
