I read cozy and historical mysteries, a bit of Paranormal/UF, and to mix it up, I read science and gardening books on occasion.
You'd think at this point in the series I'd remember that a good portion of each book is a whole lot of Nothing is Happening, but no. But every word of that Nothing is rich, colourful and alive; there is no filler here and it's not dull.
I confess I don't generally find India interesting, but now that Holmes and Russell are out of the cities and on the Grand Trunk Road to Simla, I'm finding it all very fascinating. It's a credit to Ms. King that I crinkle my nose up in distaste every time she describes the squalor and my mouth puckers when she talks about Russell eating a bit of sugar cane.
And I really like Bindra, though I suspect he'll not be around for long...
